In a time when many things don’t last, it’s heartwarming to hear stories about things that do. Terry Maxfield was a young woman when she bought a Ford Mustang at a dealership in Ohio. She didn’t even intend to buy the car, she says, but went to the dealership looking for a family car. At the time she was pregnant and had a toddler.
This car spoke to her though, and she knew it was meant to be hers.
Now, 50 years later, Terry is finally, reluctantly returning the car to the original dealership. It was a hard parting but she felt comfortable that she’ll always have visiting rights, since the car will remain in the showroom and not be sold.
